It is estimated Peace Poles have been planted for many decades in every continent of the World. Kupidabin Wilderness in 2024 was put on the Global Peace Pole Map. A Ceremony is held on 21st September every year at Kupidabin Wilderness Mt Samson, Queensland
This year 2025, we are dedicating the Ceremony to Native American Hopi Tiwa Medicine woman Verlinda Montoya, who had a vision on Bear Mountain in Canada in 2007 that she had to come to Queensland and bring together the Native American /Maori and Aboriginal Elders. She sent a scout out to find a venue who was told about Kupidabin.? (The Place of Possums)
The first Gathering in November 2007 was such a tremendous success they all voted for it to be a Bi-Annual Event. In 2009, we changed the date to September as our International and Interstate visitors found our November heat at that time to be uncomfortable. That was the Beginning. Kupidabin Wilderness was still Virgin Bush – Ceremonies and Catering were all at the Lyell Deer Farm with accommodation Camping in the Bush at Kupidabin
This year we will be placing with ceremony in the Peace Haven photographs of Verlinda Montoya, who passed away 3/12/23 and Des Pickstone, Developer of Lyell Deer Farm and Co/Founder of Kupidabin Wilderness, passed away 10/11/2023.
