The International Day of Peace 21st. September 2021. 

VENUE Kupidabin Wilderness – 7 Lyell Court, Mt Samson,

You will be greeted at Kupidabin Cultural Centre for Welcome to Country with Dinnawhan aka Aunty Pam White then proceed to gather at the Peace Haven for ceremony.

The International Day of Peace is annually held on Sept 21 to gather together and promote peace.

The United Nations established this in 1981 as a global observance by hundreds of millions of people across Earth.

This is a day of pause for the good of all life on our now fragile planet.

DOVES OF PEACE WILL BE RELEASED AT 3pm.

We hope to inspire you with messages from some of our cultural ambassadors:

Uncle Vaitie Hemara, Maori elder, will share his wisdom with us

Tere Roberts will offer a Prayer and Song of Peace

Claudia Ocean (Native American) will let her flute sing of peace to all of us and give us a Lakota prayer for peace.

Recovering for an equitable and sustainable world’ is the theme for Peace Day 2021.

Let us spread compassion, kindness and hope in the face of current world events and stand together to promote unity and harmony.

Kupidabin Peace Fire will be lit at 3.30pm – Followed by Afternoon Tea. Gold Coin Donation.
