Reinbo All Nations Gathering was founded by Linda Langley and commenced in 2007 and is held every two years, hosted by the Kupidabin Cultural Association. The land is protected under the State Government (E.P.A)
Environmental Protection Act as a Rare Eco Region with ‘Land for
Wildlife Accreditation’. Reinbo derives its name from a Dreamtime Spirit creature, the Reinbo
Jinek or Rainbow Serpent. Reinbo is a protector of the land, its
people, and the source of all life.
We see the 3rd festival in 2011 with an ever growing number of participants and line up of performers, speakers, workshops and ceremonies.
Reinbo All Nations Gathering has become a major cultural event in the Moreton Bay region, attracting national and international visitors alike. The theme for 2011 is "Connecting to the Heart".
People from all cultures are drawn to this event, regardless of age, gender, race or religious beliefs, to connect to their roots and experience community spirit on a global scale.
There is an increasing interest in ancient traditions and various cultures, recognising the importance of supressed knowledge, essential for sustainable living. Living in harmony with ourselves, neighbours and nature are the basic fundamentals of ensuring the survival of humanity. Respect for all that is living, gratitude, compassion, honesty & integrity, peace, and the importance of family union, are just some of the values that need to be taught and brought back into the consciousness of human kind. Taking responsibility for our actions and being aware of the effects for the next 7 generations.
We did not inherit the earth from our ancestors - we borrow it from our children!, J. Reuben Silverbird
Reinbo All Nations Gathering is about keeping culture alive, sharing knowledge and breaking down barriers between nations, bringing all people together.
